Mental Health Support

The Counseling Center is free and open to all UIC students. License mental health practitioners recognized barriers undocumented students faced. The stress associated with xenophobia/racism, deportation fears, employment, and finances can make it hard to balance school academics. The Counseling Center office offers individual therapy, group counseling, couple counseling, and  limited, short-term, psychiatric service.

The Counseling Center is committed to fully maintain the confidentiality and privacy of undocumented students and we continue to welcome and support students regardless of their immigration status. We provide a safe, confidential space for undocumented students to meet with qualified mental health professionals. If you would like to make an appointment, please visit the Counseling Center.
